Kaitlyn and Taylor's love story began in their favourite place; Fernie, BC. Although both grew up ski racing with the Fernie Alpine Ski Team, their paths never crossed—probably for the best, since those spandex ski suits weren’t exactly flattering.

Fast forward to October 2018, when fate brought them together at the annual Oktoberfest party at the ski hill bar. Despite not knowing each other, they soon discovered they had plenty of mutual friends—many of whom now stand by their side as part of the wedding party.

Kaitlyn arrived fashionably late to the party and unknowingly snagged Taylor’s seat while he was off fetching a jug of beer for the table. When he returned to find a mystery woman in his chair, he didn’t hesitate—he introduced himself, poured her a pint. She accepted his offering (which won her brownie points for being a beer enthusiast) and the two spent the rest of night hitting it off.

They quickly realized they had a ton in common: a love for Fernie, skiing, great food, and rocking out to classic tunes. The kicker? They’d been neighbors in Fernie for three years without ever bumping into each other. But hey, better late than never—clearly, it was worth the wait.

Since that night, their lives together have been one big adventure filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. Now, six amazing years later, Kaitlyn and Taylor are beyond excited to tie the knot in the place where it all began.
